Magalawa Island, Zambales

I thought that Subic is the only place that has a beautiful beach in Zambales, but little did I know Palauig also have it. Magalawa island should be one of your lists in your summer goals and destinations to go to. This beach has a fine brown sand and clear water that can be added to your Instagram-worthy pictures.

According to what I've read at filipinaexplorer.com, by private vehicle, from Balintawak it is like going to Subic then turn left to Iba, Zambales. Then, head north going to Masinloc past Iba market. Keep right toward Banlog, then drive north to Brgy. Pamolingan. Drive the rocky road up to the port where you can find the motor boat that will take you to the island. The motor boat will take you there for like 10-20 minutes only. The ride in the motor boat costs P100 per head.

We went there because of my cousin's birthday. I actually spend nothing going there, it is because the owner of the resort in Magalawa is my uncle's friend. And my uncle is the one bringing some tourists there, which is why we are free in accommodation. We stayed in Ruiz Beach Resort. They have the affordable rates for the cottages, and tents.

Cottages/Fan room: P1700/day
Tents: P200/head (bring your own or you can rent some there, not really sure how much though.)

The resort is quite big and really a place to chill on. They have the accommodating staffs. The dogs in that resort are also friendly, that they can smile on your cameras.

There are also some activities you can do there aside from swimming like surfing, volleyball, jetski, snorkeling, playing with the starfish, relaxing in their floating cottage, island hopping and the very first time I heard, "tubeski". Tubeski is like a banana boat, the difference is that, the float you'll ride on is round in shape.

We stayed there for 2 days and 1 night. It was really fun and definitely a place to unwind and chill with your friends or family. I know it can be a long drive from the Metro, but I assure you that this beach is really beautiful. If I have free time, I'll definitely go back and create some good memories there.

Tell me if you've been there and how great your experience is. Magalawa island beach is a place-to-go-to, perfect for unwinding and relaxation. Truly, Philippines is worth travelling for.

Watch this video of our fun experience in Zambales. Enjoy! Thank you.
