Summer In November

November is known for celebrating All Soul's and All Saint's Day, right? Since some of the students are still having their semestral break during that time, families can still have a vacation before the classes resume. So, even if it is November, we can still go to beaches and have some fun there. There's nothing wrong in experiencing summer in November. 

Matabungkay Beach in Batangas is where my family decided to go to. My uncle who have been there already said that, it is fun to try there floating cottages there, which is new for me to try on. We drove there early morning for like 3 hours from Manila.


When we got there, there's a lot of men who are encouraging us to make our stay in their own floating cottages. Warning! ... Some of them are illegal in business, that's why you better choose wisely! The cottage that we rent is for only P1,000 for 10 hours already from 7am-5pm (yes! you heard it right! but during peak season, the price of it are doubled or tripled already). The floating cottages are made out of bamboo. The cottage itself are consist of its own mini room, a long table and chair, a sunbathing bed and a grille. All cottages there are basically the same. And for me, it was relaxing and makes me more feel the vibe of the sea.



We rented a paddle boat for P1,000 only including the life-vest to use it as our transportation for our back and forth from our cottage to the seashore. Tip before you go there: Bring your own foods or "baon" because it can be hassle for you to buy there since the cottages are afar from the shore. Actually, there are some activities can be done there but we didn't try it on. Example, riding the banana boat for P1,250. good for 5 person, and renting a jetski (which is honestly, I don't know how much).




(Tip after swimming: The shower is P15 per person)

Matabungkay Beach has brown fine sand, which is comfortable for me to swim on. The sky or the clouds during the day when we went there are so beautiful, which is pleasing for our eyes and really adds to the beauty and picturesque of the place. 



My family enjoy a lot the beauty of Batangas specifically the beach of Matabungkay. If we will have time again to get together, this will be one of the choices to decided to. 







My favorite scenery here is during sunset wherein the sky becomes more beautiful and for me, perfect.

The Peaceful Island: Banton, Romblon

Have you ever been to Romblon? Maybe yes, maybe not. Romblon is known for having friendly people and being known for having good "marmol". Romblon is consist of many islands. One of it is called, "Banton" which is my mother's province. You can get to Banton, Romblon by first driving all the way to Lucena, Quezon then ride a RORO boat to get to the pier of Marinduque, next, ride a jeepney to Buenavista, Marinduque for about two hours then lastly, ride a motor boat to take you to the island of Banton. Magalawa Island, Zambales

I thought that Subic is the only place that has a beautiful beach in Zambales, but little did I know Palauig also have it. Magalawa island should be one of your lists in your summer goals and destinations to go to. This beach has a fine brown sand and clear water that can be added to your Instagram-worthy pictures.  According to what I've read at filipinaexplorer.com, by private vehicle, from Balintawak it is like going to Subic then turn left to Iba, Zambales. Then, head north going to Masinloc past Iba market. Keep right toward Banlog, then drive north to Brgy. Pamolingan. Drive the rocky road up to the port where you can find the motor boat that will take you to the island. The motor boat will take you there for like 10-20 minutes only.
