Appreciating Art and Nature

Last August 2014, my subject Humanities established a tour that will help us appreciate more about art and nature. How was that?

Angono, Rizal is the art capital of the Philippines. Lots of the Philippine good artists came from there, the "Higantes" fiesta and many art centers or museum are also located there. Even the streets in Angono have lots of art. Cool, right?

It was a bright sunny day for all of us to go there. What a perfect day to appreciate art and nature. First stop, T-shirt souvenir printing. We went to a house where there are certain person that will help us have our own t-shirt souvenir. They first gave a little background about Angono and how this business printing goes. Sadly, I didn't bring any t-shirt back then. Anyway, this how it goes:

Taadddaaahhh! Finished! Simple and easy :)
These are my classmates:
And this is our professor :) Hello there Sir!

Next thing, we rode a motorcycle that brought us to Botong Francisco's house. Who was he? He is a well-known muralist in Angono, Rizal and one of the great artist in the Philippines due to his artwork and historical pieces. One of his great work is the "Blood Compact". Anyway, his house is simple yet full of artworks.

Here are some of his artworks inside his house:

After going to Botong Francisco's house, we rode another motorcycle, it was fun especially when you're already full inside it. See!

Anyway, next stop... Photography seminar at Art Camp. The place is quite small and woody yet so artsy. It's like where in a forest surrounded by arts. HAHA :D

At our lunch break, we went to a restaurant so called "Balaw-Balaw". A restaurant with unique dishes and a place full of art statues. We were welcomed with a little food treat, "Carbonara na may Bagoong". Really? It's my first time to ate a carbonara with a bagoong. Yet it was really really good.

After lunch break, we went to a church somewhere in Rizal. Can't remember the church name, Sorry! Here are the pictures, can someone just help remember the name of this church? Haha.

Lastly, we had an opportunity to look at the view of Makati and Ortigas somewhere up in Rizal. For me, this was most fun part of our trip because we had time with our friends and more opportunity for us to take pictures together. Look!

Honestly, this tour really made me more appreciative in arts and into the beauty of nature. You, why don't you go out and find some place that will help you appreciate what's around you and learn more about it.

By the way, I would like to share what makes this tour unforgettable for me. It is because of this toilet signage. HAHAHAHA :D It is my first time to see such sign like this. (Though, I don't remember where I saw it, if it's in the restaurant or in the Art Camp haha) THE COOLEST TOILET SIGNAGE EVER! :)

So that's it! Thank you again for reading :) Tune in for my next blog post. Xoxo, Julie :*
